Geography and Climate
Mount Kailash is located in Ngari Prefecture, western Tibet Autonomous Region, at approximately 31°04′N, 81°18′E. The region sits on the Tibetan Plateau, the world’s highest and largest plateau, with an average elevation exceeding 4,500 meters.
Climate Characteristics
